Minnesota Representative 46B - Serving Hopkins, Edina, & St. Louis Park

It has been an honor to serve Hopkins, Edina and St. Louis Park in the legislature for the last eleven years. I am excited to announce my re-election bid for SD46B. During our last legislative session, we had a historic tie in the Minnesota House, 67-67. Our GOP colleagues wanted to roll back our historic investments in education, health care, reproductive freedom, affordable housing, repeal Paid Family & Medical Leave, and more.
Our Federal Government has done even more damage. Before our very own eyes, the Trump administration has sent over 3,000 Federal agents into Minnesota to terrorize our communities, disappear our neighbors, shred the constitution, and kill Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Trump is also cutting Federal funding that will harm Minnesota families and some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. I have worked hard to and will continue to fight to make sure our communities are safe, healthy, and affordable. I would be honored to have your support to continue the work for you as your State Representative.
Folks want quality education, from our youngest learners to those preparing for careers and college, access to affordable childcare, money in long-term care, investment and reform in community public safety to feel protected and supported, a dependable transportation system, and to protect our environment as well as our rights. I will always stand for our rights to love who we love, worship how we choose, and to equal protection under the law no matter who we are, what we look like, or where we live. I look forward to conversations with you. Please feel free to reach out at 952-240-2278 or cherylyouakim.com. I will also be posting my upcoming January – March Community Conversations on the events page as well as on facebook and my email legislative update.
